Placing Interlibrary Loan Requests in WISCAT

WISCAT  If NWTC does not have the item you need, you can find it in WISCAT and request it for free.

  • Once you find the item, click on Request This Item.
  • If you are requesting a magazine article, fill in as much of the citation as you can in the Article Information section.
  • The Request Type should be "Returnable (loan)" unless your are requesting an article.
  • Enter your Patron information.  Include a phone number or email address so we can contact you.  Use your ID number for "create a password".
  • Click Submit and close the request.

We will contact you when the item arrives (usually within a week).

Placing Interlibrary Loan Requests in WorldCat

WorldCAT If NWTC does not have the item you need, you can find it in WorldCat and request it for free.

  • Once you find the item, click on Borrow this item from another library.Borrow this item from another library
  • Fill in the request form and click on Submit.
  • You can click on List of Records to return to your search results or click on Exit to leave WorldCat.

We will contact you when the item arrives (usually within a week).

Other Features

As you are looking at items, you can mark them (check the box in front of them) and go back to them later by clicking on Marked Records.

If you want to go back to previous search results, you can view your Previous Searches.

You can even Save Records that you want to access in the future (but you will need to create a personal account first).
