How Do I . . . ?

Renewing Material

Need more time with your books, videos, or magazines?

If no one else is waiting for them, you can renew your material:

  • In person at any of the NWTC Libraries,
  • By calling the Library at 1-800-422-NWTC ext. 5493,
  • Or online by viewing your account in the Library's catalog. Login (with your ID and last name), select the items you want to renew, and click Request Renewal.

NOTE: You are not able to renew items online if there is a block on your record or if you have renewed too many times.

Search the Library Catalog

Or Search WorldCat For Items in Libraries Near You:

Checking out Materials

NWTC Students (and anyone who lives in our district) can check out materials from the Library.

  • The Green Bay campus library is located in the Student Center building on the second floor (SC215).
  • Students just need to know their ID number or present their Student ID card.
  • Community members can use a NEW ERA library card or fill out a form with their contact information.

Holds/Waiting Lists

Does someone else have the book or video you need? Place a hold on it in the Library Catalog to get on the waiting list. When it is returned, we will contact you.

Intercampus Loans

Need an item from another NWTC campus library? Make an interlibrary loan request in the Library Catalog to ask us to send it to the campus or regional center that you use (be sure to indicate which location).

Interlibrary Loans

What if NWTC does not have the item you need? Find it in WISCAT or WorldCat and request it for free (or email us at interlibrary.loan@nwtc.edu). We will contact you when it arrives (usually within a week).

Or ask your public library to submit the request. You can even have NWTC items sent to your public library.
