Food & Drink

Library patrons are not allowed to eat or drink by the computers in the Library or Computer Lab.

The Library is currently allowing students to eat, drink, and study in the Library's Study Rooms and Magazine Reading Area.

In the Lab, unopened beverages and packaged food items are allowed to be brought in, but they should not be opened.

Unattended Children

NWTC does not allow unattended children to be in any of its facilities.

Children are not allowed to use the computers.

High school students are allowed to use the computer for academic purposes only.

Laptops and Tablet PCs

Laptop

The Library has 19 laptops available for faculty to use for College-related activities.

  1. Laptops circulate for 2 weeks at a time and can only be renewed if there is no waiting list.
  2. Laptops can be renewed for a total of 3 times before they must be returned to the Library. If there is no waiting list, the patron will be allowed to check out a different laptop at that time and will get to renew that laptop 3 times (unless a waiting list is formed).
  3. Exceptions to this policy will only be made per a request from a Dean, Vice-President, or President.

The Library also has 2 tablet PCs available for students to use within the Library. Tablets cannot leave the Library and must be returned to the Lab Technician Desk 30 minutes before the Library closes.

For more information, contact Jackie Weier (920-498-6289) or Carole Parish (920-498-5694).

Headphones

Headphones

Students can borrow headphones from the Lab Technician Desk. They will need to sign the headphones out and back in.

Students must be careful not to damage the headphones. Excessive damage will reduce the number of headphones available for students to use.
