Setting Up Article Alerts in EBSCO

  1. Perform the desired search through the EBSCO databases.
  2. Click on Create Alert under the Search button.
  3. You will need to login to set up the alert.  Click sign in.  You will have the option to sign in with your Google account or an EBSCO account.  If you don't have either of these account, choose Create one now to set up an EBSCO account.
  4. Select how often the search should be run from the Frequency menu.
  5. Select the format for the results - Brief or Detailed.
  6. To limit which articles are searched, select from the various time frames in the dropdown menu for Articles published within the last
  7. Click Save Alert. 

Setting Up Article Alerts in ProQuest

  1. Perform the desired search in ProQuest.
  2. On the Results page, click the Save Search/Alert link on the right side and choose Create Alert.
  3. Name the alert.
  4. Enter your email address and change the subject and message of the email you will receive (if desired).
  5. Choose the options for what is included in the email.
  6. Choose a schedule for how often you receive alerts about this search.
  7. Click Create Alert.
