Finding Multimedia Resources

Use the Creative Commons Search tool to find photos, music, text, books, educational material, and more that is free to share or build upon.

Some Flickr photos are under a creative commons licence. Search for photos using keywords, and when you find a photo that you like, scroll down to Additional Information to see what kind of rights you have to share the image. Go to Advanced Search to limit your search to only images under a Creative Commons license.

Use the power of Google to find images. Remember to cite your source when using images. Look for images that give permission or Creative Commons licenses.

Access through group or item records to more than 95% of the Division's holdings, as well as to some images found in other units of the Library of Congress. Many of the catalog records are accompanied by digital images--about 1.2 million in all.
