Using the NWTC Library

In-Person Access - Visit the libraries in Green Bay, Marinette, or Sturgeon Bay during current Library hours.

Virtual Help

• Ask questions of the Library team via chat, text, phone, and email during Library hours.
• Visit the Ask a Librarian FAQ site at any time (and watch our updated Technology 101 video series).
• Access the Library’s online resources using Library Search or by going directly to our online databases.   

Laptops

• In addition to the computer labs that students can use during building hours, NWTC also has a collection of 8-week checkout laptops and some hotspots to assist NWTC program students who need them for their credit classes, have a lack of technology in their home, are not able to use on-campus computers (due to dependent care needs, working late several nights a week, or transportation issues).
• Learn how to apply to borrow a laptop.

Library Instruction

• Sign up for online or in-person training sessions.
• Access our Research Skills Tutorial.
• Check out our instructional videos on finding and citing sources. Or view our Technology 101 videos.
• Schedule a research or tech help appointment in Starfish.

Pick Up

• Walk in during Library hours to find materials.
• Or place requests for physical items using the Library’s catalog to have them waiting on a cart for you in the Library entrance.
• Students with approved applications for laptops will be contacted when equipment is ready for pickup.

Software Access

• Students can access Off-Campus Software via their personal computers or from laptops checked out from the Library (with instructor Starfish referral and pickup appointment).
